Help Bring Reliable Power to Zangdog Palri (Palace of Lotus Light) – 11 kV Power Line and 100 kVA Transformer Project

AN APPEAL FOR SUPPORT

Dear Dharma friends and supporters,

At the request of Lama Sonam Tashi, we would like to share this appeal for support for the installation of an 11 kV power line and a 100 kVA transformer at Dundul Raptenling Monastery in Odisha, India.

Zangdog Palri (Palace of Lotus Light), together with the classrooms, kitchen and residential facilities, needs a stable and safe electricity supply to support daily Dharma practice, teaching, study and community life.

Although the installation cost is substantial, this is essential long-term infrastructure that will benefit the monastery, the Sangha and the students for many years to come.

Every offering, large or small, is a precious contribution toward bringing this project to completion.

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

• Provide a stable electricity supply for Zangdog Palri (Palace of Lotus Light).
• Support classrooms and teaching activities.
• Provide reliable power for the kitchen and residential facilities.
• Support the long-term practice, study and daily life of the Sangha and students.

MAIN PROJECT COMPONENTS

• Construction of an 11 kV high-voltage power line.
• Installation of a 100 kVA transformer substation.
• Transformer, distribution panel and auxiliary systems.
• Poles, conductors, insulation and grounding systems.
• Civil works, foundations, transport and installation.
• Connection, supervision, administrative and electricity-security deposit fees.
